보이엘디외 The Caliph of Baghdad

The Caliph of Baghdad (fr.: Le calife de Bagdad) is a one-act opéra comique written by François-Adrien Boieldieu, with libretto by Claude de Saint-Just (Godard d'Aucourt). It was premiered at the Opéra-Comique of Paris in the year 1800, and its popularity spread rapidly through Europe. It was Boieldieu's first major triumph, partially owing it success to the vogue of operas featuring Oriental subjects and the use of some 'Easten-like' musical elements.
